Join us for our annual festival! This year's event will be a spectacular celebration of a wilder world - how we can make more space for wildness, and how we can find the wildness within ourselves.

We have a wonderful array of artists, experts and enthusiasts, as well as the inspirational Railway Land itself, to help us explore wildness though all of our senses!

The Wilder Ways Festival is free and accessible

To book walks, please visit our Eventbrite page

Walks and trails

  • Celebrate the plants of the Railway Land through folk song and herbal lore, with Sara Jane Glendinning and Jo Burke from Brighton Folk Choir (Adults only, please book) Walk through the woods and meadows of the Railway Land, stopping to appreciate the abundant flora on the way. Sarah Jane Glendinning will share her extensive knowledge of herbal lore and how plants have been used throughout the ages. Sarah Burke will share folk songs about the plants and trees that you pass - a beautiful way to deepen your connection to our wonderful native plants!

  • Interactive Listening Walks – join Bela and Bethan from Music for Connection in experiencing the world around us led by our ears (Adults only, please book) These walks combine listening, exploration, and sound foraging. It’s an interesting and absorbing thing to reconsider an object from its sound/s, rather than its looks or function. Bela and Hannah will invite you to explore and organise these found sounds in our environment, creating new sonic landscapes.

  • Wild Mind Wild Life with Grace Archer - rewild yourself by remembering YOU ARE the earth, not separate from it!  Light hearted, interactive nature connection for adults.  Expect sensory, sacred and maybe a little silliness!
