Day Three of the sponsored walk: Newick to Hamsey
Date: 12/06/2008
Rain threatened and one clap of thunder had us scuttling into a farm barn for a few minutes but we soon headed off on the section that would finally bring us to the river Ouse and a chance for some of the participants to go on a boat.
We are very grateful for the assistance given by Seaford Rotary as well as Headteacher Mrs Ann Aughwane's pupils from Burgess Hill School for Girls for bringing the boats upstream to the rendezvous point.

We sang a French song to help us on our way
Some of us travelled by boat to the Anchor Inn at Barcombe.
We wish to record our thanks to the Anchor managers Robin and Bernadette and the owner Michael Harris for providing the boats for free and for agreeing to provide lunch at a very generous rate.
Phil Clarke and John Parry relay Harry to the start of the next section.
